COMPAREX is an expert integrator of cost-efficient IT solutions. We offer group-wide the following range of platform-independent solutions: network storage, high availability, consolidation, migration, e-business infrastructure and printing.

The core of our business model is independent consultation and integration of infrastructure-based solutions revolving around central IT. By partnering with leading manufacturers such as IBM, EMC, HP/Compaq, Sun Microsystems, and others, COMPAREX can - on behalf of its customers - manage complex projects as general contractor.
Growing up in computer centers that were dominated for a long time by mainframe computers, large-capacity computers, COMPAREX is very familiar with customers’ needs for high-availability and security.

In over 20 years COMPAREX has acquired know-how in the mainframe environment (OS/390, z/OS, VM, VSE) and in the last five years transferred and expanded its know-how to the open systems (AIX, UNIX, Linux, Sun Solaris, Microsoft NT, W2000, Novell).

With the help of consolidation, migration and standardisation projects, COMPAREX contributes greatly to cost reduction (TCO) and to a fast return on investment (ROI) of their customers’ IT-environment.

In doing so, COMPAREX Global Services supports the customers throughout the whole process-from vision to start of operation. A special advantage is the COMPAREX Competence Center. In this development and testing laboratory in Edingen/Mannheim experts develop, together with partners, integrated solutions. In this center, solutions of a complete data processing center environment can be evaluated and adapted to specific needs, independently from the customers’ actual business.

In order to support the operational business, the COMPAREX service team is available around the clock. Additionally, the CCCC is developing more and more into a training center that is increasingly being used by COMPAREX partners and customers.


There are numerous customers to which COMPAREX has applied its methology, examples are: ALD Vakuum Technologies AG, BASF IT Services, Enercity-Stadtwerke Hannover, Rechenzentrum Karlsruhe, Frankonia Jagd, Max-Planck-Institute Berlin-Brandenburg, HVBInfo, HDW Kiel, NORDAC, Nordmilch eG, Peter Hahn, T-Systems FSH, TÜV Süddeutschland, Stadt Wolfsburg, Siemens ICN, Vorwerk Zeda  and others.  

COMPAREX employs approx. 650 employees in Germany and is represented with 7 branch offices across the country. In Europe, COMPAREX has approx 1,000 employees and is represented in 11 European countries. Annual sales in Europe amount to approx. 300 Mio. Euro.
