The 3583 features Ultra2/Wide SCSI Low Voltage Differential (LVD) or Ultra/Wide SCSI High Voltage Differential (HVD) interfaces and can attach to servers, workstations, and personal computers that support these interfaces.

The tape library also offers native Fibre Channel connectivity with dual 2 Gbit ports.
